ACTF News
Screen Australia and the Australian Children’s Television Foundation (ACTF) have announced applications are open for its joint Kids IP Incubator.
Now in its second year, the Kids IP Incubator is a Direct-to-Audience/Online initiative to develop Australian IP for children’s programs on digital platforms. Up to eight teams will have the opportunity to attend a bespoke program of online webinar modules and masterclasses with key international content strategists, analysts and marketplace experts. They will also participate in a collaborative in-person workshop as well as receive tailored mentorship.
Each team will also receive $20,000 to develop their pitch and assets, IP, and release and distribution strategy.
The joint Screen Australia and ACTF Kids IP Incubator initiative aims to deliver high-quality Australian content to children across all platforms they engage with and within social media age restrictions. Open to established and emerging creators, the initiative will equip participants with the skills to experiment with creative tools, formats, and business models on platforms such as YouTube (Made for Kids) and FAST.
This year, the initiative will expand to include NZ On Air, who will select and bring their own New Zealand-based teams to work in parallel with the Australian teams selected by the ACTF and Screen Australia.
Previous Kids IP Incubator projects include Worm Diner, Pit Pats and Magic Monkey Mayhem.
Applications open 15 October 2026 and close 26 November 2026.
